SUNDAY 11th DECEMBER 2016, 10.30am
John Charles Centre for Sport, South Leeds
You will be hard pushed to find a more varied, multi terrain, traffic free course than Leeds Christmas 10k Challenge. After leaving the springy flat track at John Charles Stadium, your Christmas spirit will be tested on the hills and woodland paths of Middleton Park. A great opportunity to get cheered on by friends, family and our musical marshals during this multi lap course. Leeds Christmas 10k Challenge now in its fifth year, is a firm favourite with both recreational and club runners alike.
Chip timed, T-Shirt and a mince pie for all finishers
We have a new 2 lap route for 2016 – for you regulars – it’s a real mix of the two previous routes
See you on the 11th December

RACE REPORT 2015
It was a icy start to race day and a tree falling across the route over night was enough to get our hearts racing. However by 10.30am, you all set off to take on our challenging route. Despite of falling temperatures and the tree chicane, some excellent results were recorded. Ben Douglas, of Notts AC, achieved a new course record with the winning mens time of 34mins 27. The womens event was won by Johanna Winks of Halifax Harriers and AC in an excellent 41 mins 56. Will anyone take the V50 record from Martin Hall (Spenborough & District AC) who topped the podium for the 4th year running. Another long term winner, Hilary Wharam, of Look North fame, also won her category for the 4th time and beating her own course record.
If you would like this event to be part of your club championship, please get in touch as we can offer your club discounted entry for next year.
